Believe me when I say we have cried rivers of tears the past few days.
One reason we’ve been so sad is that our doggy’s last days signal the end of an era. Gracie joined our family when the boys were 12, 9, and 6-years old. They’re young men now and a season of life is behind us.
Many of you who are reading this know what I’m talking about. That noisy house and hectic schedule are things of the past for you. And that’s not all bad, especially if you have good relationships with your kids and they seem ready to spread their wings.
How to Set Your Kids Up for Success
That’s what a lot of you still worry about. You wonder if your kids will be ready, if you will have succeeded at the job God gave you, the sacred duty of childrearing?
(At points my wife & I wondered if we’d even survive the assignment!!)
I can say with authority that when this time arrives, you won’t want to have regrets. You won’t want to feel that you missed out, were too busy, or otherwise dropped the ball as a parent. Because there are no do-overs.
Now that my guys are leaving the nest, I have a big heart for parents. I admire those of you who carry the mantle of “Mom” or “Dad”. You’re knee-deep in alligators, with so much to juggle, so much to worry about, such a sweet, but tricky, job to do.
That’s why I have felt such a desire to do something for parents. I have wanted to create more community and give them more resources for their sacred calling as moms and dads.
After getting some advanced training in StrengthsFinder coaching, I got a vision for a parenting workshop. Tonight (and for the following three Thursdays), that vision will come together with our Strengths Based Parenting webinar.
Here’s How You Can Learn How to Play to Your Child’s Strengths…And to Yours
You can read more about that if you CLICK HERE. We have a nice group registered and it’s going to be a blast. Those who participate will learn a lot and have fun doing it. You’ll connect with other parents and with me on matters of the heart. And you’ll get tools and resources to give your children the best you have to offer.
So I just wanted you to know that there’s still time to REGISTER and join us. Even if you can’t make each meeting, you’ll be able to learn from the video recordings, transcripts, and notes you’ll get. Plus you’ll get a copy of Mary Reckmeyer, Ph.D.’s book, Strengths-Based Parenting, as a timeless resource.
I hope some of you will make the decision to click on the link and join us. As you take new steps to play to your kids’ strengths and to yours, you will experience breakthroughs. Your kids, your family, and you will never be the same. I truly believe that.
God bless. And hope to see you at the webinar.
